New Momentum: Al Madina Logistics Exports First Batch of Karwa Motors Oman-Assembled Buses

Al Madina Logistics Services Company (AMLS) has successfully exported the first batch of buses assembled in Oman, on behalf of the newly-inaugurated Karwa Motors Factory which is established in the Special Economic Zone of Duqm. Karwa Motors covers an area of 568,000 square meters, with a production capacity of up to 700 buses per year. The factory is designed to produce city buses, school buses and intercity buses, ranging in size from 8 to 12 meters with seating capacities of up to 55 persons. Karwa Motors have manufactured and entrusted logistics leaders AMLS with the task of exporting the first batch of 34 buses to Doha, Qatar.

"We thank Karwa Motors for the trust and faith placed in AMLS and are proud to have been a part of this project. These buses signify a first on many levels; the first ones made in Oman, the first ones rolling out of Karwa Motor's assembly line at Duqm, and the first ones delivered successfully to the customer in Qatar," said Mahmood Sakhi Al Balushi, Group CEO of AMLS. "This move was handled by our professional freight forwarding team and facilitated through our dry port at AMLS Sohar Logistics Hub, before the vehicles embarked on their journey to Hamad Port."
